Experience the joy of scientific discovery
The Science program provides the opportunity for all students, F-6, to experience the joy of scientific discovery. The Science curriculum encourages students to develop an understanding of important scientific concepts and processes across a range of disciplines including Biological, Chemical, Physical, and Earth & Space Sciences. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity, are integrated into units through design challenges, both unplugged and using their iPads. Students learn to code using LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential and Sphero BOLT, an app-enabled robot. The Science program supports students to develop the scientific knowledge, understandings, and skills to make informed decisions about local, national, and global issues and to gain awareness of the multitude and diversity of science-related careers.
