Instrumental Music Band Program
Our highly regarded Instrumental Music Band Program is optional for students in Grades 3 to 6.
All current Year 2 to 5 students are invited to attend an Instrumental Try Out Night at nearby Eltham High School. This provides an opportunity to sample each instrument with the help of our expert tutors to find what suits them best.
Instruments available include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and percussion.
Under the direction of our conductors, participating students rehearse together once weekly before school, in our Beginner, Intermediate, and Wind Ensemble groups. In addition, during school time each student is provided with a solo or 2-to-1 tutorial with our specialist tutors to enhance their learning on their chosen instrument.
Each year the bands come together for school and public concerts, giving the students invaluable skills and confidence in performing before crowds while connecting and engaging with our community.
The Instrumental Music Band Program is optional and parent funded.
